Culture

The main culture on Adelpha is the Talan culture. Human like beings with dark skin and taller than humans, living on a kind of medieval development stage. The male Talans live and work in the six known regions, while the female Talans live on Kizaar. An island, where they look after the Talan children. Every some years the male Talans come to Kizaar and meet their wives. As soon as male Talans are mature they leave their mothers and travel to Shamazaar, where they visit the well of essence. There they get their fandazma (also called essence), which belongs to one of the four elements. Ka (air), Gandha (earth), Faé (fire), Eluée (water).

Ka is very rare, Shamaz' belong to it. It enables Talans to heal other beings. Gandha is the most given essence. Farmers, fishers, traders and all classical workers have it. Faé enables Talans to use weapons based on helidium, they can set its energy free. Hunters and soldiers belong to this group. Eluée is the element of creativity. Musicians, artists, craftsmen, recreators (they do reverse engineering) and hazifars (they tame and train ventilopes) have this fandazma. When a Talan dies, his fandazma leaves his body and he is sent back to his essence (sent to the sky, buried underground, burned at the darosham or buried under water).

For every element exists a god, called Yod. The Yods look after the balance of the four elements, called Miléa. If this balance is disturbed chaos is created, called Sankra, and the Yods send natural disasters. This happened after Faé Rhan had subjugated the Talans and had started to strengthen the element of Faé. He had extended the Faé temple and had made the Faé element the most important one. In consequence the Yods lessened the rain in Motazaar and sent huge sand storms to Talanzaar (at least this is believed by Talans). Soon Talans started an underground movement against Faé Rhan and called themselves dolotai guardians. But many were killed or put into Zorkatraz by Kroax and his soldiers. Until Kazar's prophecy of the Ulukaï came true. And so the Talans do also believe that Faé Rhan's palace was destroyed by the Yods.

The Oogoobar, beings not as tall as Talans and with blue skin, are living in tribes of up to fifteen people on a Stone Age development stage. They use blowpipes to hunt and live in little camps.
